joe_mnFebruary 1, 2010

dad has 24x26 garage. 2x4 walls. r-11 insulation in walls and ceiling and fully sheet rocked. 2-2x3' windows. insulated door. hanging gas furnace runs once per hour for 10min or so. keep garage at 58-60F. built in 1980? i work in garage a lot and am always surprised at how little the furnace runs. does that seem average?

Hello Joe from Mn.,

If my heater only ran once per hour and kept the garage at 60 degrees, I would be ecstatic! You have no need for concerns,if you think it should run more frequently turn the thermostat up. Have a great day.
