garagedoor openers

I have rented a house witha sears garagedoor opener model # 139 664056, receiver model # 139 664020. there are not any remote controls. I ordered some from ebay that were suppose to be compatible, does not work. My Father says that this is not a complete opener, it needs a receiver. is this true, because the receiver model on the wall in garge says that it is a receiver. thanks

You are not going to find remotes that will work with this opener. You can go to Sears, Home Depot or Radio Shack and get a universal remote and receiver that will work. If you move you can take it with you.

Howdy, in some states Sears does not sell those kits. Do your self a favor and go get an opener with safety sensors.

Those universal remotes have instrcts that are hard to follow, mus tbe done exactly to work.
