Craftsman Garage Door Opener

robertguercioJanuary 30, 2010

Hi All,

I've had two Craftman Garage Door Openers for 16 years and I am in the process of replacing one of them. I would like to use my old transmitters; however, I am not able to program them with the new unit.

The instructions mention a non-rolling code transmitter, which I presume is what I am trying to program, and recommend that they not be used for security reasons.

Is there any way for me to do use these devices?

Thank you,

Bob

Your old transmitters will not work with the new rolling code openers. I suggest you replace both units.
