Craftsman Garage Door Opener Drive Gear

amarcapJanuary 11, 2011

The drive gear on my model#13953415SR is very worn and won't engage the worm gear. I know I can purchase the drive and worm gear from Sears Parts Direct.

How do I replace the drive gear? Is this a task that the average home handyman can perform?

The drive gear comes with instructions. If you are handy you can do the job.
