outdoor vs indoor furniture?

purrusJuly 4, 2009

I have two wicker chairs from Pier One (2004) that I'd like to spray paint black and use on a covered porch. The porch is not very deep and I would imagine that rain would blow into it quite easily. Does the original wicker matter? Is there a difference between wicker used inside or wicker used outside (under some cover, as I mentioned)? Thanks! I'd move them indoors for the winter of course.

Wicker is actually classified as wood so depends if the wicker was sealed for outdoor use. You can check by wetting the wicker seeing if the water is absorbed.
