Re-Tile a Hearth Pad

yellowpupsDecember 30, 2009

I have a cermaic tiled hearth pad under our woodstove, and would like to change the tile to match new decor in room. Rather than try to remove the existing tile - can I just tile over the existing tile (which would increase the thickness by about .75-inch)? The frame of the hearth pad is wrought iron. Any and all advice is appreciated!
