How do I identify antique vanity?

tbledsawJune 27, 2009

My husband and I recently obtained an antique vanity. We would like to get an estimate of it's value, however we don't know the first thing about furniture; makers, styles, etc.

Could someone give me pointers on what to look for to identify the manufacturer and perhaps date it?

Thank you,
