Rectangular tables : Pedestal Legs or Regular Legs?

tammywJune 29, 2014

We are looking at having a table custom built. It's the kind with the catalyzed finish.

We are trying to decide if we should get regular legs or a pedestal. There are so many choices, but curious what most people prefer and think works better?

I know it's a very personal choice, but just really curious the pros and cons of each.

Oh I should have clarified, but it will be a fairly large rectangle size!

How large a table? A single pedelstal can be tipped if the table is oddly long. Double pedelstals have always felt stable to me.

Sorry about not coming back to this sooner. I had my terminology wrong! I meant a trestle table. This would be a large table - about 90" without leafs.

I'm still trying to decide if I should go for the trestle style or legs in the four corners. I like different things about both styles.
