Martin SC36 Conversion

swainnerDecember 31, 2007

I have a Martin SC36 (aka Aspen HC36A) firebox with a gas burner installed on a line to an outdoor 20lb propane tank. Can this unit be converted to a natural wood burning fireplace, but simply capping the gas line and removing the burner? What do I need to verify to insure that the box is satisfactory for burning wood.
