Refacing fireplace and installing wood fireplace insert

WesFOctober 7, 2013

Hi. We want to install a wood burning insert into an existing fireplace. We also want to widen the face of the fireplace to make it symmetric and reface with a modern facade.

So the my question is what to do first?

I was thinking that I should remove the existing facade and widen the ledge before having the insert installed.

Wes
