I'm not worried about monetary value, my wife purchased this antique chair about 5 years ago... I'm a newb to antiques and would like to know if it's English style, French or American..

It is an Eastlake-style chair. This was a British - Victorian movement in architecture and furniture. Where it was made is up for grabs, but that's the style.
