putting legs on a swivel/glider recliner

2donnasApril 21, 2012

My new Norwalk recliner was just delivered. Because I had ordered a recliner and a swivel/glider recliner was delivered, my local store has taken it back. Their solution will be to screw legs onto the existing chair. Is this solution structurally sound? Is there a way to find out if Norwalk's stationary recliner chairs are made with legs that screw on, or if they are part of the frame?

Thanks for your help.

Essentially the swivel/glider is a separable mechanism from the recliner mechanism. Depending on the style, its actually its not that difficult to switch out the mechanisms. But they most likely will remove the swivel/glider portion and install legs on the bottom of the arms, and this is the normal place for the legs on a recliner.
