Is there anything we can do about creaking floors?

pbx2_gwMarch 26, 2013

Walking through our new build today - about 2 weeks away from delivery - noticed a couple of spots where the floors creaks when I step in that area.

Is there anything we can do about creaking new floors?

All new construction where there are wood floor assemblies will make some bad that is and how much is acceptable to you is the question.

Since you are concerned about this then tell your builder and the bank that you are not happy about the noisy floor surface. They need to find the cause of the creaking and make corrections. Most, if not all, floor noise can be eliminated.
