Why would installer have Bona Prep handy?
OK I'm paranoid I guess.
Installers are putting in Teragren floating floor (that has quite a bad odor - see my other thread below). I notice a lot of smudges along the edges where the boards touch. A bottle of Bona Prep sitting there ... they said this has been the hardest floor they've ever installed - a LOT of pounding going on and even slight 'cracking' noises I've heard and cringed over when they put it together.
They have used no tapping block - just rubber mallet. No installation wedges.
Also they tracked some polyurethane sealant around from their caulk gun that left a puddle on the subfloor and then got on someone's shoes.
Does all this sound normal? And why would they be using Bona Prep on my new floor?
