what price to ask?

phrogAugust 16, 2013

We have owned a Hearthstone Sterling direct vent propane stove since 1994. Regularly serviced by dealer. A sort of marbled gray-green soapstone.

Planning to sell it locally, but no idea what to ask. We paid just over 2K back then, and new it would be closer to $2700 now.

Any suggestions?

I see ads around here for used stoves, both wood and gas. The prices are at most a couple hundred bucks. And that's for a stove that's been cleaned up. Usually they are about $125 to $150.

The market for used stoves is usually hunting cabins.
