Tung oil for a bathroom floor

vardaradaFebruary 4, 2012

I have wooden floors, which were polyurethaned 20 years ago. I would like to strip off the polyurethane and treat my floors with Tung oil. Will this be enough protection from water in the bathroom and the kitchen? Some information I've read says tung oil is far superior to polyurethane in protecting from water, others say to play safe and use polyurethane again.

Any advice on the subject of wooden bathroom floors would be very welcome.
