advice on bamboo floor for my kitchen

ailene54February 12, 2012

Hi, I have old natural oak floors throughout my house. I'm in the process of updating my kitchen, my antique white doors are on order, and I'm attempting to pick out granite. For the floor I want to use strand bamboo, but don't want it to look funny with oak floors being in the rest of the house. My kitchen has 4 entrances, 2 of the adjoing rooms have oak floors, 1 has cream colored carpeting, and the fourth will also be bamboo (the laundry room). Do you think I can use a medium brown, or that I should stick to natural for the bamboo? Do you think bamboo will look funny next to so much oak? I really don't like tile, but if it will make my flooring look better I will use it.

Thanks for any help you can be,
