Pricing of hearth and mantle

lizzieplaceApril 1, 2014

I know that pricing can vary based on your location, but I want to get an estimate for this fireplace. This is for a new build. The cost of adding the mantle in the picture is $600, whereas the credit for not including the hearth is $200. Do those figures sound about right? No idea on the cost of these items. Thank you.

Sounds inverted to me! I had a mason tell me yesterday (in Maine) that a 6" x 6' granite mantle would cost around $350 and a douglas fir beam would be a couple hundred.
