Faux Fireplace rock...can it be cleaned

sugar2012March 10, 2012

Is there some way to clean a faux fireplace facade? How much work would it be to remove and replace? The fireplace is a working wood burning fireplace, with a faux rock facade. Thanks for all input.

If you're talking about the interior panels, they're likely a thick white-ish firebrick molded to look like stones, bricks, something like that.... The best way to clean them is to have a really good hot fire, and just let it go out. It'll clean them right up, provided you have good seasoned firewood.
