Garrison II Flooring, Smooth Series

DonnaKJanuary 26, 2011

We're considering the getting engineered hardwood floors, micro-bevel edges from the Garrison II Collection-Smooth Series in the Cappuccino Carbonized finish. Does anyone know anything about this floor? Does is scratch easily, wear well? Do micro-bevels collect grime?

Thnx for your feedback

Hi DonnaK,

I just found your question doing a search for Garrison floors. I brought home a sample of "The Garrison Collection - Maple Carbonized Cappuccino" yesterday, not sure if it's the same as your's. We like the look, but had never heard of the company - What did you find out about it? Are you planning to use it? Thanks!

All I've been told is that the Garrison Maple Cappuccino floors are beautiful, but it's the flooring store people who told me that :-) I have not heard from anyone who actually has the floor, but I think we're going to go with it. The flooring people did send me some pictures of the hand-scraped Maple Cappuccion (we're going with the smooth) and it looks nice. I'm kind of a computer novice and it's taking me too long to figure out how to post the pictures I have, but if I can figure it out I'll post them for you.

I have the Garrison II white oak Autumn in the distressed pattern and just love it. We did our family room, kitchen, dining area and dining room almost 2 years ago and last Sept put it in 2 bedrms. We have 2 cats, and a 5 year old boy plus us in the house and still looks great. Easy to care for. Very reasonable, paid about $3.25 sf for the flooring not including installation.
