FMI Gas Fireplace - any warnings

ijs12flyJanuary 26, 2009

Hi,

I am putting a NG Peninsula fireplace between my master bath and bed room. I found some info on line (ebay) regarding FMI Balboa fireplaces (www.fmifireplace.com/pages/balboa.html) I can not find any reviews on Google regarding FMI and have never heard of them or their quality in any research I have done.

Does anyone know the truth about FMI, are they a reputable company and have a good product, or does the lower price indicate lower quality. My gut tells me to stay away, I cant find good or bad info, I find no info.

If not FMI, then what brands should I focus on.

Thanks

Steve

FMI is in chapter 11. They are considered a lower end builder line. Look at Heat N Glo or Lennox. Both are solid companies.
