we're looking to reface our brick fireplace surround and I'm curious if anyone has any experience with these kits? Or anything similar?

According to their site they fit 12x12 tiles on steel plate backers. They arrange the tiles to look like slab and the tiles are 1/2" thick. You just adhere the "slab" to your surround and you're done. They claim to have sold over 10,000 kits and if you google fireplace facings they're usually at the top of the results, so I'm surprised no one here as looked into them or tried them.
