I love my toast and sandwiches but if I eat whole grain breads I become bloated and crampy. Do I have any other recourse other than white bread?
Look for bread that contains a combination of white wheat and whole grain wheat. Your problem may be related to the quantity of fiber you're getting. You might be able to tolerate bread that contains a fraction of whole grain. Also try crackers made of whole grain wheat. There are a variaty of them on the market. Some of very bland, but taste okay with cheese or a dip. Crackers made from whole grain rice are also pretty good.
