Any web site that totals a recipe's calories?

marie26September 23, 2006

I am new to this site and am hoping someone can direct me to a website where I can put in the ingredients of a recipe and get a total number of calories per serving.

This would enable me to figure out which recipes are healthier versus which ones to stay away from.

I've been using SparkPeople to track calories. I think they might have a place where you can total recipes.

You can go to and there is a terrific program they sell that can calculate recipes and they have like 30,000 food in there database. and most of the fastfoods too. i believe the program is $ 49.00 however you can get a trail for 15 days and they get another one for additional 15 days.

I have used this program off and on for over 2 years and when i do i follow regualrly i have lost 10 - 20 ponds

Here is a link that might be useful:

I know a great one--www. and it is free. It allows you to analyse any recipe, menu, or single food. Also has info on various prepared foods. Good luck!

I like, too for looking up nutritional values and analyzing recipes. Even though I belong to **another** fee-based eDiet website, I still think is a fantastic resource.
