Looking for Wireless Headphone Info

mrgpagDecember 23, 2009

I'm interested in acquiring a wireless headphone for my 90 year old Mother who is somewhat hard of hearing and needs something to enhance her TV audio experience. I've read a lot of so-called reviews and other comments and I usually toss out the bad and the best and look for the mid-stream comments. I would think for my situation , the IR set would work well as she wouldn't be up and about while watching but stationary in her chair. But comfort will be an issue for her and I have experienced varying degrees of comfort on some of the non-working display models I have came across in places like Best Buy etc.

Any recommendations and what you like about it?

Thanks

Sennheiser make a variety of models that work well.

The more you spend the better they sound and the more the
outside sound is suppressed.

So is there a dollar point or model that separates the good from the not so good? I have looked(read) about those in my quest.

None of the Sennheisers are "not so good". Even the least expensive sound wonderful.

Sennheiser is very good quality, some pros use them on stage as well, for mics and their instruments.

It would be good if you could borrow the different sets and see if she likes them to hear and is comfortable.

Wireless equipment can be battery hogs, so consider this point.
