Lead in balsamic vinegar

lazycookJanuary 16, 2014

I was shocked to find that the balsamic vinegar that I bought had a warning on the bottle that it contained lead. It is O Organic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Italy. When I was at the supermarket today I checked other balsamic vinegars and did not see the warning on them. So what's the deal? Should I get rid of my vinegar?

Maybe that's why the product was allowed to be imported.
