Fringe area AM reception

What do I look for in a radio for best fringe area AM reception at our remote Alaska home? We do have electricity, so batteries are not essential.

If you're looking for a radio suggestion, take a look at the GE Superadio.

If you're looking for ideas to get better reception on an existing AM radio, look into a better antenna.

Here is a link that might be useful: C Crane sells radios and antennas

I Nevada we once lived in a place where the truck radio would get reception but we tried several different indoor radios and antennas and never could get any other to work. So, perhaps you can use this information to find something.

Have you considered listening to the radio stations over the Internet? Most stations broadcast over their websites. Not sure what the Internet service is like in a remote Alaskan area, though...
