AM antenna improvements

Re:Electronic Forum,June 2005/LazyPup(fri,June 17,05 at10:02)

LazyPup's detailed submission provided the most thorough and technical solution for improved AM reception. Has anyone constructed a DI-POLE antenna as described?

If so:

(1) What diamenter and length of PVC pipe was used?

(2) What gauge (awg) wire was used?

(3) How successful is/was the antenna reception?
