susand_2006December 14, 2006

we installed dry wall over old plaster walls and now there is a 1/2 difference in thickness between the door jams and the drywall. How do we install door molding?

install a 1/2" board over the door frame to make up the difference. the door frames and wall match you won't need to caulk much.

Yup these strips are called extension jambs and are easy enough to do!

If you are interested in the details please drop me a line!
