Hi i have a 19 inch magnavox tv model number RS2080C104. When i turn it on all i get is a black screen. when i flip thorugh the channels the screen remains black. what is the problem? could it be the vacuum tube? if so where can i find one for this model? how much is it going to cost? can i repalce it myself?

Thank you

You can't replace the Vacuum tube (main tube) yourself. The electron 'gun' end of the tube is extremely fragile, has lots of voltage on it, and breaks easily.

An older style (Cathode Ray Tube) tv is not worth repairing. If you want it repaired - you can take it to a shop.

A BRAND NEW - under warranty - 23" LCD HD tv - can easily be purchased for less than $300
