Solar panels for corrugated metal roofing

hannah56834July 16, 2008

We have heard about solar panels that lie overtop of the corrugated metal roofing. Does anyone have any experience with this? We do get heavy snow in our area but have heard that it will sheet the snow off with no damage to the panels? Also what is the energy output like compared to the standard panels (I'm still really new to solar), just looking into a few things to see if it feasible for us.

I am guessing you mean panels that go on standing seam panels, not corrugated

No, definately corrugated, we were told there is a new type of panel that is also corrugated that will lay overtop of roofing.
