Plug in TV antennas

Has anyone had experience with using their home electrical wiring as an antenna?

I've seen advertisements in magazines for a device that is plug-in, then uses standard coax connections from the device to the set. I'm thinking about giving it a try.

Does it sound to good to be true? They have been selling this junk for years. Know anyone that is presently using it?
