What is the clear liquid leaking from my rear projection tv? It is coming from one of the 3 crt lens assy's...

The "clear liquid" is coolant for the picture tube. If it leaks onto the circuit board, it will corrode the connections and damage the circuit board.

If there is no "coolant" the phosphor inside of the picture tube will be burned by the bright electronic beam that makes the picture. This will leave a permanent dark area on the picture tube face.

You need to have the set serviced. The lens will need to be cleaned, the "seal" will need to be replaced or repaired & new coolant installed. Meanwhile, place something plastic between the circuit board and the picture tubes to prevent the coolant from getting on the circuit boards.

good luck,
