qam tuner and small flat panel tv

debodunMay 31, 2014

Recently my cable company placed many channels on digital broadcast requiring a QAM tuner to receive. They will rent a QAM tuner out at an additional $5 a month, but I am looking to avoid that, so I am considering getting a new flat panel. My problem is that I have limited space and can't get a TV over 19". I've looked a big box stores in my area for a 19" flat panel TV with a built-in QAM tuner, but can't find one. I can't buy online without a credit or debit card, so I have to buy in-store. Will I have to go a larger size or is there a make of TV that will fit my needs?

QAM tuner is just another name for a digital or HD tuner. Any set you find new today will have a QAM tuner built right into it.
