bronxbillMay 17, 2010

Anyone bourght or used one of those converter w/turntable actually a wooden box -I seen at kohls for $249.00 - they convert 33/78 records & cassette tapes to a cd.

I have lots of Sinatra's on 33 albums and lots of doo wops on cassette tapes I would like to put on cd. Please let me know if they are good - before I spend the $249.

Thanks much

Bill

I got a turntable for my daughter at Costco for about $100 that converts the music to computer files, and it came with software to remove surface noise. Seems to work fine. You can convert tapes with a cable and some free software. The link below should give you an idea of what's involved. I'd simply go to Amazon and look at the reviews for these types of devices; you can probably do this quite a bit cheaper than $249.
