Dyson 'Animal' is pulling out my shag carpet!

shoes2manyApril 22, 2008

We got new carpet a year ago and I realize it's normal to vacuum up a lot of loose carpet when it's new, but we have had the carpet for a year now and every time I vacuum 1,000 SF, it fills the vacuum with carpet lint. I find this abnormal and probably not good for my Shaw (expensive) carpet. Our carpet is between a shag and a frizze, just short of the height of a dime. The vacuum cleaner is supposed to automatically adjust the height, but I feel like there is something wrong? I have tried vacuuming with just the suction, but it doesn't appear that it's getting very much dirt/pet hair up. And advice here? Thanks!
