Thread pulling away from fabric after washing?

holly830June 17, 2008

Hello! I have embroidered a few towels using WSS on top and a medium tearaway on the bottom. The tension is set between 3 and 4. After washing, the top and bottom thread looks like it is pulling away from the fabric. What am I doing wrong?

This is just a guess, perhaps you could try washing the towels first then embroider them. It sounds like the towel cloth is shrinking and making the embroidery buckle. Hope this helps.
