Confused about mA and adapter

littleblu87March 16, 2009

What happens if a person (no, not me) uses an adapter rated at 500 mA with a set of speakers that should require/use 1000 mA? Will the speakers be damaged? Or will they just not produce enough power for them to work correctly? Or will nothing happen?

Then I guess that explains why hardly no sound is coming from them. My cousin hooked them up for my grandmother. Apparently that little punk can't do anything right. He was too lazy to use the power adapter that came with the new speakers. Instead he just used the adapter that goes with the old speakers. He screwed up the monitor when he hooked that up too. Moron.

Thanks for the help.
