To embroider or not to embroider?

ccraiglowFebruary 3, 2008

Hello out there.

I was wondering what the best brand for embroidery machines would be. Also, what is the best model? I bought a Brother 270D and I had never embroidered before, but I really liked it and soon realized that I was very limited in what I could do with this machine. It came with PED-Basic and that was great, but I can't do large areas of any type and I can't do large lettering on t-shirts. I am thinking about taking my Brother 270D back. This has become a hobby for me but I don't want to spend $5000 on a hobby I am still coming into. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any good machines?

Thank you!

You can use a jumbo hoop with software that will split the design for you, such as Embird.
