Home theater for dummies, not Bose?

mmksFebruary 19, 2007

We went looking for rear speakers for a home theater so that we could wire in before drywall, and the people went straight for Bose, and seemed very one track minded. On this board it seems that they are overpriced. I have to admit we want something good but not sure what direction to go.

In rear wall?

On rear wall?

In ceiling?

On side wall?

In side wall?

What brand of front speakers do you have?

What brand of receiver or amplifier are you using?

Bi-polar speaker design?

Di-polar speaker design?

Neither?

There are a lot of questions that need asking and answering before you buy the correct surround channel speakers. These are just some of them.

(Sorry, I tried for a little Dr. Seuss type humor)
