Thread Question

piedpipurrJanuary 15, 2010

I have a lot of embroidery thread (tons of different colors) and I'm wondering if this thread can be used for craft/garment sewing? I would not use it in a quilted piece that I want to be left to my future generations :-)

I know when I started embroidering I was told you couldn't use regular thread in that type of machine but I don't know about the reverse.

Thanks for any advise.

You can use it for whatever you like. Except I wouldn't think it's strong enough for garment construction but good for embellishment. I love it for sewing down quilt appliqué and also use it to machine quilt my quilts. Never had a problem.
