etched glass and using remote??

gma_jJanuary 15, 2009

In our new home, we have designed glass in front of where all the receivers will be in our entertainment center. We would really like to have an etching on the glass. Someone, however, mentioned that we should make sure the remotes would work through the etched glass. I'm sure this is a simple question, but we really want to make sure the etching will not interfere with the remotes working correctly.

Hopefully, some of you will let me know on this.

Thanks, Jeanie

Your remotes should work just fine. Mine work thru frosted glass with no problem.

Thanks, jdbillp. It seemed like they should work, but sure hated to have the glass etched and then go "OH,OH" and the remotes don't work. :)
