I have a recipe for a Chocolate walnut Cake Roll. One of the ingredients is 2 Tablespoons of coffee beverage. I really hate even the smell of anything with coffee flavor. What can I use instead? Thanks in advance. gengenz
I hate coffee, too. You could, of course, just use water instead of coffee. Or a combo of water and a flavor extract like walnut, almond, cinnamon, etc. Or how about using rum, or even brandy? The alcohol would bake away, leaving the flavor in your cake.
