Utilizing existing downdraft components with new downdraft unit

Leehop1December 22, 2013

I am replacing my 1995 Jenn-aire gas/ electric slide-in range with an Electrolux induction, double oven slide-in. Does anyone know if I can utilize my current JA downdraft blower moter/vent with a new,free-standing downdraft unit?

The downdraft blower is integral to a Jennair range, not a separate piece. You will need an overhead vent hood. There is no physical place for any separate downdraft with a range. Plus, why would you want to go with something that works so poorly?
