How to get a patent

mngardener1September 8, 2007

Does anyone have any idea onhow a person can look into getting a patent on an idea? After a few years of purchasing foam pumpkins, I came accross a use that nobody thought of and would like to go forward and see if it could be marketed. I would love to share it with you, but want to find out just how good of an idea I have first. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :0)

The link below will help you get started.

My husband has several patents but always uses a patent attorney.

Best of Luck!!

Another source is

They will dscribe the various ways to patent an idea. You can get a full blown patent or a "provisional" patent.
They are not lawyers that will represent you, but legal people that can make sure you have all the "T"s crossed and the "I"s dotted correctly. And they tell you what the cost will be up front. I'm working with them right now for a patent.
