desperately seeking 'cats and baskets' series

brigid22September 7, 2005

Hi everyone! I've been looking for this series of cross-stitch patterns from the old Cross-stitch and Country Crafts magazines. I believe they were in the early 90's or late 80's, hard to say. I was able to do the amish basket/cat pattern, but was never able to get my hands on the other patterns in the series. Does anyone have any information on these patterns, i.e., designer, issue, possible reprintings available? I've done extensive searches online and while it seems the series was very popular, the patterns themselves are hard to come by.

Thanks!

What you might try is this site to see if you can find out what issue they were in. Once you find out what issue those magazines come up for sale all the time on e-bay and you can find it. I have some here from the 80's or 90's I got at a garage sale but haven't gone through all of them and don't recall that pattern so far.

Here is a link that might be useful: magazine database
