Picture Rail Molding

brooksterMay 2, 2007

I am looking for suggestions on where to purchadse picture rail molding.

I have looked in shopped Lowes, Home-Depot and a couple local frame / lumber stores and they do not carry it.

I did find it at HouseofAntiqueHardware.com but it is $22 for 8 feet and you have to buy 5 of them.

Does anyone have any suggestions o nalternate way of making the railing?

Someone mentioned using a round curtain rod???

Try Michael's Craft Store, they sell picture frame molding. They might have the width you are looking for.

Brooke, if you're in NY, contact me. I have a barrel full of it in my shed you can have. Left over from 29 years of assorted projects.
