Hanging chain for chimes

donhenthornApril 30, 2007

I have been making some quality chimes and want to change the way I hang the suspension disk. I want to use small brass oval link chain. By small I mean each link would be 1/2" to 5/8" long. Does anyone know of a source for such chain that sells in 10 foot quantities as well as by the roll? I need to try it first before I commit to ordering by the roll.

Did you look at your local hardware? Our Lowe's has quite a few options for chain in all sizes. Try looking there!

Good luck!

There's a stained glass place near me that sells alot of different kinds of decorative, delicate chains . I buy their chains to hang chimes and suncatchers .The only problem is --- I "don't think" they have a website. I guess that's the way they keep their costs down. They sell tools and doo-dads barely above cost. It's called "Stained Glass STudio" in Brookfield , WI. IF you can't find any info - I'd be glad to help . :)
