Marshmallow Peep Carousel

thrift_shop_romanticMarch 3, 2008

This weekend I finished a cardboard Easter carousel where the horses have been replaced by Marshmallow Peeps. All of the cardboard it uses was basically just stuff I would have otherwise thrown out-- the cardboard backs of used writing tablets, paper towel rolls, etc.

I'll see if I can add a photo here:

I have a step-by-step tutorial on how it was made at a URL I'll paste below.

Here is a link that might be useful: Peep Carousel Tutorial

I really love it and if you shelve it carefully it will last until next year

I hope so. I didn't varnish these Peeps like I did the garland. So we'll see.

I'd like to add some extra detailing-- maybe a group of miniature fake eggs in the grass, etc, but just didn't have the time.

Maybe in Peep Carousel Version 2.0. :)

That is a great tutorial. I usually get into a holiday mood after it is over so might end up giving it a try.
