Trick or Treat with Ashley.

annie1992November 1, 2007

Here it is again, Halloween. I made bones and eyeballs:

The bones were shortbread cookies filled with grape jam to look like "bone marrow". They were cut in the shape of bones, filled and dunked in white chocolate. The eyeballs were peanut butter balls, dipped in white chocolate with M&M pupils and squiggly red decorator icing "blood shot" veins.

Makayla, my little Monkey Princess, came as Tinkerbell.

Bud was the Cowardly Lion. I tried to get him to sing "I am the King of the Forest" but right now his favorite song is Old MacDonald, he likes the part that goes "E I E I DOH". He sounds more like Homer Simpson than a lion, but whatever. When he left he had changed his mind again and was just saying "Meow".

Ashley is still a kid, you know, and had to get in on the free candy. Ahem. She was a nurse and her friend Kaitlin was a Playboy Bunny. I thought that was no longer politically correct but what the heck, it's Halloween!

Next year maybe I'll wear the nurse costume, LOL.

So so cute!

Makayla is after my own heart. I played Tinkerbell in a local production of "Peter Pan". I wasn't nearly as cute as Makayla though...I was a lazer light.

Carol, I agree, you're never too old for free candy, LOL.

Ashley says she HAS to be a nurse because all those guys are just sick. (grin)

Oh Annie they all look like they're enjoying themselves!
Bud is sure getting big....I bet he loved being a lion! Ashley grows more beautiful every day....if that's possible and little Makayla is a real sweetie.

Oh, Makayla and Bud are so big! When did that happen?! So cute, too! I like that Bud decided the lion would say "meow." He and I could hang.

Amanda, you can hang with bud any time, he's much more of a "Meow" kind of lion than he is a "Grrrr" kind of a lion. :-)

I still say he needs a bow.

"But I could show my prowess,
Be a lion, not a mow-ess,
If I only had the nerve.
I'm afraid there's no denyin'
I'm just a dandy-lion  "

Yup, that's my Bud, the lion that says "meow". (grin)
